Well it seams like lately something or other has been keeping me from church. Last week I had to go in to work to take care of a sick dog, and this week I had to take care of my own sick dog.
It all happened about 10 minutes before we were about to leave. To make matters worse, my sister and her husband were in town, and they had decided to attend our ward. I had told them to be there early so we could all sit together. As I was getting dressed I heard this loud splash. I was a little confused at first because I was in the bathroom, and no one was there with me. I stepped out into by bedroom and saw Dryfus licking his lips, and then I saw it. DO NOT read further if you get queasy. On the landing of our stairs was the biggest puddle of vomit that I had ever seen. On top of that it had cascaded down like a waterfall to the next 4 stairs below it! Just picture the size of my huge dog, and then I think you'll understand just how much liquid I'm talking about here.
I yelled for help, and Brandon came running. The first thing he asked me was if I had peed my pants...what kind of question is that? I wish I had because it would have been a lot easier to clean up. Anyways he ran up the stair and nearly stepped in the mess. Both he and I were gagging. I ended up sending him to church with Tyler so one of us could be there when my sister showed up, and plus he was supposed to be there early to supervise the Teachers and sacrament.
I was then left with the mess, so I did what any good church goer would do, and went to Wal-Mart and bought a Bissel little green machine. It was a life saver! I don't know how would have cleaned it up otherwise (maybe with a shop vac). It was such a big mess that it still took over an hour to clean up completely. But to all of you with kids and pets I highly recommend the little green machine!
